WHO WE ARE

The factory behind your lenses

For years, an advanced prescription in East Africa meant an imported lens: weeks of waiting, and a remake meant waiting all over again. Afrilens Tech was built to end that. We opened the region’s first advanced ophthalmic lens plant in Kenya, so a precision lens is made here, and arrives in days. Today we supply partners across Kenya, and we are growing across East and Central Africa.

We supply independent opticians, retail chains, hospitals and clinics, distributors, and NGOs. We never sell direct to patients. Every lens reaches its wearer through a partner, and partnership includes product and dispensing training for your team.

OUR PROCESS

Inside the factory

Surfacing, coating, engraving, and quality control all happen under one roof. Every stage is ours, so every lead time is ours too.

Quality control

  1. Grade A materials only. Certified by our suppliers, and re-verified in-house. We do not take the certificate’s word for it.

  2. Double quality control. Two checkpoints on every job.

  3. No lens leaves unchecked. Every lens is inspected before dispatch. No exceptions.

Every Afrilens lens carries a written warranty against manufacturing defects and prescription accuracy. Read the full warranty →
